An incident occurred in Michigan at approximately 3:30 p.m. on a recent Friday. A man who was reportedly fishing at the time is now facing drug charges as a result of a search police conducted of his vehicle. The 52-year-old man is currently being held in a county jail.
State police claim that they had approached the man while they were making routine checks of fishing licenses in the area where he was fishing. Officers said that upon checking the man's license, they learned that he was in possession of marijuana. This led them to conduct a search of the man's vehicle.
Upon searching the man's car, police say they uncovered a substantial amount of marijuana. They also claim to have found a portable meth lab and open containers of intoxicants. When the search was completed, the officers placed the man under arrest. Mulitple charges were filed against him, including operating a meth lab, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and driving an unregistered vehicle.
